Empowered Lives offers Mental Health First Aid
Australia’s Blended Mental Health First Aid for the Workplace Course
The course teaches managers, supervisors and individuals how to assist a co-worker who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. However course participants will learn mental health first aid skills that can be applied to help any adult. Course content is tailored to the workplace setting using case-studies, videos and resources tailored to their learning needs.
Flexibly delivered to meet your needs
Designed for workplaces that require increased flexibility in the delivery of training for their staff members
A combination of online (eLearning) and a half day of follow-on face-to-face training with accredited instructors.
Skills are beneficial inside and outside the workplace
Everyone has friends or family members who experience mental health problems. Your staff can take the knowledge and skills outside the workplace and be able to support friends and family experiencing a mental health problem
Your workplace can choose to identify and train key staff to be workplace mental health first aid officers, however, the flexibility in the deliver of the course makes it a cost effective way of getting as many staff trained as you would like.
Complementary to other mental health training
MHFA focuses on skill based learning, not just awareness raising. Your staff will be able to consolidate their e-learning with a practical workshop.
